Nuclear Design Engineer
Crescent Solutions is seeking an experienced Nuclear Design Engineer to join their team supporting the U.S. nuclear fleet. This role focuses on preparing Design Change Packages and applying nuclear plant engineering expertise to develop technical solutions and ensure regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities
Perform advanced engineering tasks requiring in-depth knowledge of nuclear industry standards, regulations, and best practices
Lead technical discussions in group settings to resolve issues, coordinate design efforts, and drive effective solutions
Prepare and review Engineering Change Packages (Design Change Packages) following the established Standard Design Process
Conduct Applicability Determinations and 10 CFR 50.59 Screenings/Evaluations to assess regulatory impacts of proposed changes
Provide technical oversight of vendor engineering activities, including review and owner’s acceptance of deliverables
Support project implementation, including development of test plans and resolution of field-related issues
Serve as a technical liaison across the nuclear business unit, interfacing with cross-functional teams
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
Extensive experience in nuclear power plant design, modifications, or operations
Strong working knowledge of NRC regulations (e.g., 10 CFR 50.59), nuclear industry standards, and quality assurance requirements (e.g., ASME NQA-1)
Proven ability to work independently, exercise sound technical judgment, and deliver high-quality engineering documentation
Excellent communication skills with experience leading technical discussions and coordinating multidisciplinary teams
Preferred
Professional Engineer (PE) license or advanced degree in a relevant discipline
