Client Program Manager

Responsibilities
Serve as the primary program-level owner for assigned strategic or at-risk client accounts
Establish clear program goals, success criteria, and recovery plans aligned with client expectations
Maintain end-to-end visibility across all service, project, and advisory workstreams
Act as the client’s primary escalation coordination point for delivery-related issues
Ensure client confidence through consistent leadership presence and accountability
Coordinate work across Service Desk, Onsite Support, Managed Services, Engineering, and Security
Align priorities, timelines, and dependencies across multiple delivery teams
Ensure service requests, projects, and initiatives are sequenced and resourced appropriately
Identify delivery conflicts early and drive resolution through leadership escalation when required
Validate that delivery execution aligns with contractual commitments and SLAs
Identify delivery risks, service gaps, and operational blockers before they impact the client
Lead structured issue and risk management forums with ownership and resolution tracking
Coordinate cross-functional responses to client escalations
Drive root-cause analysis for recurring delivery issues
Provide executive-level updates during high-impact incidents
Lead recurring program status meetings with client stakeholders
Prepare and deliver executive summaries and health reports
Translate complex delivery details into executive-friendly language
Align internal and client messaging for transparency
Support renewal and QBR discussions alongside vCIOs and Service Delivery Directors
Drive short-term stabilization plans and longer-term service improvement initiatives
Track progress against improvement commitments
Partner with ITIL Methodology teams to reinforce process adherence
Ensure lessons learned are documented and applied
Support transition to steady-state delivery once stabilized
Qualification
Required
7+ years of experience in program management, service delivery leadership, or MSP operations
Proven experience managing complex, multi-workstream client engagements
Strong understanding of MSP service models, SLAs, and delivery frameworks
Demonstrated success stabilizing or turning around challenged client relationships
Exceptional executive communication skills
Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple deadlines, and support regulatory timeframes
Preferred
Experience working in a Managed Services Provider (MSP)
Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, or related field
Certifications such as PMP, ITIL v4, or Agile/Scrum
Experience supporting client renewals or recovery initiatives
