Associate Finance Manager
LHH is partnering with a well-known CPG company seeking a high-impact Sales Finance Business Partner to serve as the primary financial advisor to Sales leadership and Field Sales teams. This role will own customer finance, net revenue management, trade spend governance, and promotional effectiveness while acting as a key liaison to Accounting, Controls, and Audit.
Responsibilities
Act as the primary finance partner to the Head of Sales and Field Sales organization
Serve as the finance liaison to Accounting and Controls on sales and customer-related financial matters
Function as the point of contact for Audit related to sales, customer finance, and trade activity
Ensure adherence to budgeted trade spend and support monthly forecasting, accruals, actuals reporting, and variance analysis
Provide financial oversight of trade and display budgets, including monthly reviews with Sales to assess promotional plans, spend effectiveness, and key risks related to sell-out and customer mix
Develop and maintain a strong understanding of promotional activity, success drivers, and return on investment
Review on-shelf pricing and promotional execution to identify out-of-guideline activity
Analyze trade terms and execution to identify opportunities to improve Gross-to-Net (G2N)
Maintain visibility into 8-quarter pricing strategies and PPA plans
Track competitor pricing and market dynamics to identify whitespace and growth opportunities
Monitor market performance (price vs. volume) relative to category and competitors
Maintain a 'live' pipeline of sales opportunities and risks with clear ROI visibility
Challenge sales forecasts using data-driven insights, trends, and historical performance
Track customer performance versus AOP, latest view, and prior year, and partner with Sales to course-correct as needed
Collaborate with the broader finance organization to improve existing processes and implement new, standardized ways of working
Qualification
Required
4+ years of experience in Sales Finance within CPG
Proven experience partnering directly with Sales organizations
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Advanced analytical capabilities with a strong ability to leverage technology and data to drive insight and decision-making
Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and ERP/planning tools (SAP, D365, Blue Planner)
Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills
Preferred

Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Ability to translate complex financial concepts into clear, actionable insights for non-finance partners
