Constellation Search Group is looking for a Civil Engineering Practice Lead for a full-time direct hire position. This role involves leading and supporting design, permitting, and client management efforts for various land development projects, contributing to the growth of the Denver office and the Mountain Region Site/Civil discipline.

Responsibilities

Design and permit residential, institutional, commercial centers, warehouse distribution centers, and mixed-use projects for public and private clients
Collaborate with firm leadership to develop growth plans and ensure effective staff utilization
Lead staffing and hiring initiatives for the Denver office
Identify and pursue new clients, develop additional work within existing projects, and attend business development meetings with clients
Oversee and manage junior staff for specific project assignments, providing coaching, training, and motivation
Lead site/civil efforts, including site layout, grading, drainage, infrastructure, erosion, and sediment control from concept through completion
Oversee storm water management design, hydrologic/hydraulic analysis, and SWPPP preparation
Integrate geotechnical and environmental engineering into land development engineering projects
Execute other duties as requested

Qualification

Civil Engineering degreeProfessional Engineering licenseSite/civil engineering experienceAutoCADCivil 3DClient management skillsTechnical writingVerbal communicationAttention to detailTeamwork

Required

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
Over 15 years of successful, local site/civil engineering experience focused on land development projects
Professional Engineering license
Proven site/civil experience with site layout, grading, drainage, infrastructure, erosion, and sediment control from concept through completion
Strong client development and management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical, multitasking, and judgment capabilities
Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment
Possess reliable transportation for client meetings and job site visits with a valid driver's license in good standing

Preferred

Proficiency in AutoCAD or Civil 3D is preferred
Active participation in professional organizations
Experience in technical and proposal writing
