Robert Half is partnering with a well-established organization in the Greater Seattle area that is hiring a Senior Accountant for a full time, direct hire role. This position involves detailed financial work, supporting multiple entities, and improving core accounting processes.

Responsibilities

Handle day to day and monthly accounting activities for several entities, including accruals, coding, and close tasks

Maintain accounting records for capital projects and fixed assets, including schedules, updates, and periodic reviews

Prepare financial reports and analyses used by leadership, such as budget to actual comparisons and property level reporting

Coordinate quarterly internal reporting that summarizes spending and key financial activity

Support accurate financial statements and ensure that reporting aligns with GAAP requirements

Manage recurring state and local tax related filings

Review daily cash activity, maintain banking records, and complete monthly reconciliations

Bring in and reconcile accounting data received from external partners for assigned entities

Recommend improvements to processes and internal controls to support team efficiency

Provide backup coverage for accounts payable when the AP specialist is unavailable

Required

Bachelor's degree in accounting

5 to 8 years of corporate accounting experience

Strong understanding of GAAP

Advanced Excel abilities and strong attention to detail

Comfortable working independently in a hybrid environment and communicating with a variety of internal partners

Preferred

CPA Preferred

Background with real estate or investment related accounting is helpful but not required

Experience with systems such as Yardi, CCH, or PowerBI is a plus
