Lead Quality Engineer
T & E Industries, Inc. is seeking a proactive and precision-focused Lead Quality Engineer to support quality assurance for glass to metal seals in a high-precision manufacturing environment. This role involves process validation, root cause analysis, continuous improvement, and ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 standards.
Responsibilities
Interpret mechanical drawings specifications to validate and analyze dimensional accuracy of parts
Conduct and document First Article Inspections (FAI) per AS9102 and internal requirements
Lead or support process validation efforts for new products, tooling, and process changes
Perform thorough root cause analysis (RCA) on nonconformances and quality issues; generate and implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA)
Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing defects, scrap, and variation
Analyze quality and production data to identify trends and systemic issues; work cross-functionally to implement effective solutions
Prepare and maintain quality documentation, including inspection reports, control plans, NCRs, and FMEAs
Support compliance with ISO 9001 quality management system through documentation, audits, and internal process controls
Inspect incoming raw materials and finished assemblies for compliance with specifications
Qualification
Required
3-5 years of quality engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
Strong understanding of mechanical drawings
Experience with quality systems
Passion for data-driven problem solving
Hands-on approach to working closely with operations, engineering, and supply chain teams

Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001 standard
