Responsibilities

Create and maintain process documentation and work instructions
Collaborate with Engineering and Operations to identify and implement process improvements and projects to reduce costs, minimize waste and increase efficiency
Establish root cause and corrective actions using structured problem-solving methods and tools
Manage product & process change through participation in change control boards
Support production validation builds on new/modified processes
Interface with supplier and subcontractor representatives
Define and implement production system standards, including staffing models, and provide training to Engineers and Technicians
Monitor and analyze process data, identify trends and make recommendations for process improvements for new or existing product lines
Ability to Obtain a US Security Clearance

Required

Bachelor's Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience
Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience
In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience in Manufacturing Engineering
Ability to Obtain a US Security Clearance

Preferred

Highly motivated and driven self-starter who's able to operate with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
Understanding of manufacturing systems, production processes, technical standards, and assembly equipment
Strong verbal and written communication skills including experience with MS Office products like Word and Excel
Electro-Mechanical Assembly process experience including fixture design, robotics/automation, and mechanical process equipment
Lean Six Sigma training, preferably Yellow or Green Belt certification
Experience with process improvement tools and methodologies such as Kaizen, 5S and PFMEA
Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
Knowledge of process simulation software is a plus
