The intern will assist in the production of daily content and programs, working with skilled editors and contributing to various production and marketing initiatives.

Responsibilities

Take steps in next-level editing, learning from skilled NBC Sports Bay Area staff editors/manager

Contribute/support editing needs as part of the daily workload

Work with Manager, Video Producer/Editors on support for upcoming projects

Learn both digital and linear editing platforms

Understand NBC Sports Media databases and ways to work through for projects

Executing detail work to procure footage from external sources

May be assigned other tasks needed to support the network's day-to-day operations

Required

Must be actively enrolled in a degree-granting program at an accredited institution during the entire duration of the program. Spring 2026 graduates are not eligible for our Summer 2026 internship program

Current class standing of sophomore or above (30 credits)

Must be presently authorized to work for any employer in the United States and must not require work visa sponsorship from NBCUniversal now or in the future to retain authorization to work in the United States

Must be available to work 16 to 24 hours per week from June 1 – August 7, 2026

Must be willing to work in San Francisco, California

Required On-Site: This position is required to be performed full-time from our San Francisco office

Must be 18 years or older

Preferred

Students with a class standing of junior or above preferred

Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above

Bilingual in Spanish strongly preferred

Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Windows Office, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel)

Strong interest in web, mobile, social media, sports, and television

Intermediate media production experience (college programs)

Knowledge of Bay Area sports (baseball, basketball, football, hockey)

Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, and creative skills

Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills

Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Proven track record of following through on projects
