MBO Partners is seeking a Senior Real Estate Fund Accounting Consultant to join a dynamic asset management environment supporting private real estate funds. The consultant will play a key role in delivering accurate, timely, and high-quality fund accounting results while operating with autonomy and collaborating closely with internal teams and third-party administrators.

Responsibilities

Provide hands-on support across private real estate fund accounting activities
Support ongoing operations for European (PPP) funds, including transition coverage due to internal team movement
Coordinate with and oversee work performed by third-party fund administrators
Review fund financials, capital activity, and reporting outputs for accuracy and completeness
Operate independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities
Ensure continuity and stability during a period of increased demand and internal transition

Qualification

Required

5+ years of progressive experience in private fund accounting
Strong background in real estate funds (preferred); hedge fund experience acceptable if adaptable
Experience working at or closely with asset managers, general partners (GPs), and fund administrators (with direct ownership of deliverables)
Ability to hit the ground running with minimal handholding
Comfortable working in environments that leverage third-party administrators
Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required
No third parties. No C2C
As a contractor, including remote contractors, you may be required to complete a background check
