Responsibilities

Oversee and mentor a team of Legal Secretaries, ensuring high performance, accountability, and adherence to firm processes
Support executive leadership with administrative and operational initiatives
Manage daily workflow, scheduling, and coordination across the legal team
Foster a positive work environment while addressing challenges with resistant or tenured staff
Ensure compliance with firm policies and assist with operational improvements

Qualification

Legal management softwareIntellectual property lawMicrosoft OfficeLeadership skillsAdministrative operationsCommunication skillsProblem-solving skills

Required

5+ years of relevant experience, including managing secretarial or legal assistant teams
Experience in an intellectual property or patent law environment is required
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with legal management software (e.g., Anaqua, ProLaw) is a plus
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, professional environment with senior leadership

Preferred

College degree is a plus but not required if significant experience exists
Prior experience with legal administrative operations in patent/IP firms
