Supply Analyst
Ultimate Staffing is seeking a proactive and analytical Supply Analyst to support a short-term project focused on new vehicle model launches. This role involves managing the flow of parts from suppliers, maintaining service level goals, and ensuring accurate forecasting and inventory management to support customer needs during production phases.
Responsibilities
Build and maintain forecasts for assigned part numbers
Create purchase orders regularly to support ongoing inventory and service level objectives
Track backorders daily and work with suppliers to accelerate shipments when needed
Execute urgent order types to limit disruptions and avoid customer impact
Manage initial parts planning for new model introductions
Ensure high availability at launch and maintain adequate supply throughout the first phases of production
Assist and train other team members on supply processes, tools, and best practices
Keep purchase order data and part master files updated and aligned with current requirements
Contribute to system improvements by providing feedback, participating in testing, and helping refine planning tools
Meets inventory and fill-rate goals for assigned parts
Ensures timely and accurate execution of all order types (regular, air, urgent, new model)
Reduces or prevents customer-impacting backorder situations through proactive supplier engagement
Maintains a clean, accurate record of purchase orders and part data
Supports 98%+ availability for new model parts during the first 12-18 months
Participates in process and system enhancements that improve planning efficiency
Qualification
Required
2-4 years in data analysis, financial or business analytics, operations planning, or a similar area
Prior experience in inventory planning is required
Comfortable working with databases and ad‑hoc reporting tools
Strong Microsoft Excel skills (intermediate to advanced)
Working knowledge of Word and PowerPoint
Excellent communication and organizational abilities
Ability to adapt quickly in a changing environment
Preferred
Automotive industry exposure is helpful but not required
Experience with Access or SQL is preferred
APICS or other supply chain‑related certifications
SQL / MS Access (preferred)
Automotive Supply Chain (Preferred)
APICS (CPIM, CSCP) or other Supply Chain Certifications
