Responsibilities
Develop lab testing frameworks and validate expected test performance on IPV6 and dual-stack networking in cloud-native and enterprise environments
Design test strategies and ensure compliance with IPV6 readiness standards across public clouds
Coordinate with other teams in gathering certification requirements and translating those requirements into a detailed test plan
Execute test plans in coordination with other team members in a live lab environment
Troubleshoot, manage code/platform lifecycle, and provide solutions to complex hardware/software problems
Provide escalation support to network operations in validating bugs/vulnerabilities/workarounds in the lab, documenting exposure/impact, and presenting to the ENS forum for approval
Assist operations in piloting solutions in production environments
Drive IPV6 validation across multi-cloud and hybrid cloud infrastructures
Develop sophisticated test automation frameworks using Terraform, Ansible, and CloudFormation tools
Test network DMZ designs and certify the underlying hardware and software features, enhancing overall security posture of the network
Identify various communication scenarios and create, execute, and/or oversee testing, data gathering, and analytics capabilities, preparing related design and deployment templates
Collaborate with highly skilled infrastructure engineers and architects from multiple verticals on a day-to-day basis
Qualification
Required
8+ Years of experience with LAN/WAN network design, engineering, and feature testing/ certification
CCIE/CCNP certified or equivalent Level of experience
AWS Advanced Networking, Azure Network Engineer, or GCP cloud Network Engineer certifications are desired
4 + years of experience with Cloud PaaS and/or IaaS (Azure, AWS). Well versed in cloud networking solutions, understanding of cloud compute and related cloud operating models
Must have understanding: AWS constructs like VPC IPV6 addressing, Internet Gateway, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, Route 53
Azure: VNet IPv6, Azure Load balancer, IPV6 Express Route, NSGs, Azure Network Watcher
GCP: Cloud Routers, Google Access for IPv6, Cloud NAT64, Interconnect, VPC Flow Logs
3+ years of IPV6 Networking and validation experience
Experience with building Lab designs, and certification of hardware and software of products, performing PoCs
Strong knowledge of Networking technologies: TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPBGP, MPLS VPNs, VxLAN, Multicast
Well versed in DMVPN, IPSEC and Encryption Standards, Network Security
Experience on Cisco IOS-XE, Nexus Devices
Python Network programming knowledge is a plus
Knowledge in Agile process is a plus
Work under minimal supervision
Experience in using test tools like Ixia/Spirent/ iperf, Latency generators a big plus
Network traffic analysis, able to read pcaps, Wireshark
Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills
Collaborate and co-ordinate with Network and Security teams, and vendors
Ability to deal with multiple projects and prioritize the tasks
Excellent spoken and written communication skills a MUST
Create all necessary test cases and develop config templates and operational manuals
Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills, while working with diverse audiences including highly skilled IT professionals and senior management
Collaborate with other technical teams at Brokerage to deliver product and solution level support
Facilitate the transition from PoC to certification to pilot to a fully established prod environment, with focus preparing test plans and incremental updates to stakeholders
Extensive liaising with Cisco and Arista
Preferred
Excellent Knowledge of Network protocols BGP, OSPF, Spanning Tree protocol, Multicast
Strong understanding of IPV6 fundamentals, addressing, NDP, ICMPv6, DHCPv6, SLAAC, IPV6 + IPV4 implementation
Experience with Routing Protocols OSPFv3, BGPv6
Knowledge on Cloud Networking and Security best practices (AWS, Azure, GCP)
MS Azure VNet, VNet-Peering, Private Link, vWAN, Express Route, Firewall, Load Balancer
AWS Global infrastructure, VPC, S3, EC2, Route 53, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect
Knowledge of firewalls and NAT64/DNS64 configuration
Design and troubleshoot Cisco, Arista Network platforms and protocols
IP Routing Platforms: ISR, ASR1K, ASR9K, Catalyst 9K, Catalyst8Kv, Nexus9K
Multicast: IGMPv2/v3, PIM, Static RP, RP-Anycast
Overlay technologies like IPSEC, DMVPN, VXLAN, MACSEC and SDWAN/SDA a plus
Cabling and optics 10/25G/40G/50G/100G – Break out cables, break out panels
Ansible knowledge a huge plus
Proficient in traffic generation tools like Ixia/Spirent, iPerf3, Wireshark
Test automation within CI/CD infrastructure, ROBOT framework a plus
Experience with Kubernetes and IPV6 enabled CNI plugins like Calico and Cilium is a plus
