Responsibilities

Lead the work to adapt a variety of different military systems

Direct the work in an Agile environment for a team of SW engineers

Drive technical solutions for complex SW and weapon systems problems

Support other team members through the SW lifecycle phases on the many projects this team executes during the year

Manage the architecture, design, implementation, configuration management, and troubleshooting of services

Execute troubleshooting skills to meet stability objectives

Establish and enforce strong software architectural principles, including modularity, flexibility, and extensibility

Develop next-generation software

Participate in end-to-end integration activities

Analyze user requirements and implement algorithms to meet system performance and functional standards

Oversee software development teams, recommend new technologies and processes, and ensure quality control of all developed and modified software

Required

***Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access and an interim Secret clearance to start.***

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related discipline

This is a hands-on role that requires 8+ years of overall Software development experience

C++, C#, Java, or comparable/related OOP coding language

Basic understanding of the STITCHES language and development environment

Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex problem statements and collaborate with stakeholders to develop simple and effective solutions

Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively with teammates and leadership

Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills, with experience working in Agile environments

Desire for continuous learning self-improvement

Preferred

Experience leading software architecture and design efforts for complex software systems and applications

Experience establishing and enforcing strong software architectural principles, including modularity, flexibility, and extensibility

Extensive experience with 5+ message standards or definitions for military or commercial weapon systems

Cameo or other model-based software development

Python, and/or PERL Python

Working experience of cloud environments such as AWS or Azure

Experience working with different engineering disciplines to derive and decompose requirements

Experience in DevSecOps, including CI/CD, with a strong understanding of security and compliance principles

Experience and/or certification(s) in Agile / Scrum methods preferred (+DevSecOps a big plus)
