Associate Director - Corporate Mechanical Engineering

Responsibilities

Lead HR processes, including performance management, compensation management, reward and recognition, talent assessment, promotion, recruiting, and succession planning for a team of approximately 10-12 individuals
Coach and develop team members
Support Engineering Tech Center team strategy, business planning, and team building activities
Mechanical Engineering Discipline and Technical Leadership – Own and manage engineering standards, master specifications, and engineering best practices that relate to the mechanical engineering disciplines at Lilly
Knowledge Sharing – Provide technical coaching and mentoring to Lilly engineers
Document learning through peer-reviewed technical documents
Facilitate shared learning forums such as conferences and user groups
Project Delivery Leadership – Support capital project delivery through resourcing of key subject matter experts
Monitor and act on key performance metrics for team performance on project delivery goals
External Influence and Benchmarking - Monitor and influence external industry trends for equipment, system and even digital technologies and solutions

Qualification

Required

Bachelor's degree in engineering or related science field
Minimum 5 years of manufacturing experience in engineering or related functional area
Demonstrated leadership in an engineering field

Preferred

Knowledge in conduct of mechanical engineering principles
Knowledge of project management and vendor management
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Experience in Capital project delivery
cGMP Regulatory knowledge
