Sales Engineer/ Business Development

PEAK Technical Staffing USA is seeking a highly motivated Technical Sales professional to drive revenue growth by combining deep technical knowledge of their products with strong customer-facing sales skills. The role involves extensive travel to meet customers, deliver product demonstrations, and develop long-term customer relationships.

Responsibilities

Identify, develop, and manage new and existing customer accounts
Travel regularly to customer sites for sales meetings, product demonstrations, technical presentations, and relationship building
Understand customer technical requirements and recommend appropriate solutions
Collaborate with engineering, product management, and customer support teams to develop tailored solutions
Prepare and deliver technical proposals, quotations, and sales presentations
Manage the full sales cycle, from lead qualification through contract negotiation and closing
Provide market feedback on customer needs, competitive activity, and industry trends
Support installations, commissioning, and post-sale technical support as required
Maintain accurate records of sales activities, forecasts, and customer interactions in CRM systems
Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and industry events
This position requires travel throughout the U.S and Canada
Maintain solid business hours and availability to the organization

Required

5-7 years technical field sales experience
Experience selling market specific products/solutions—e.g., control systems and components, industrial, material handling and or mobile hydraulic equipment markets
Experience working with CRM tools such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar
Prior experience supporting customers in a field-based role
Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills
Customer-focused mindset with a consultative selling approach
Self-motivated and comfortable working independently while traveling
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Ability to balance technical depth with sales objectives
Able to resolve conflicts
Able to multi-task
Attention to detail
Microsoft Office and CRM
Maintain a current and valid driver's license
Leadership and cooperation with the full staff
4 year Business degree or equivalent experience with technical aptitude
2 year technical degree with sales and marketing experience
5-7 years technical sales experience
