Responsibilities
Post-Conversion Dashboard Review and Validation
Review converted Power BI dashboards for completeness of visuals and layouts, accuracy of calculations and aggregations, and proper behavior of slicers, filters, drill-downs, and interactions. Identify gaps, inconsistencies, or defects introduced during automated conversion
Power BI Remediation and Optimization
Correct or rebuild visuals that did not convert accurately. Refactor or rewrite DAX measures and calculated columns to ensure correctness and efficiency. Validate and optimize data models, including relationships, cardinality, and filter direction. Resolve issues related to tooltips, drill-through pages, bookmarks, conditional formatting, and row-level security when applicable
Data Accuracy and Performance
Validate Power BI outputs against expected results and source data. Optimize dashboard performance by improving DAX logic and model design. Ensure reports perform efficiently under normal and peak usage
Testing and Quality Assurance
Perform functional, regression, and interaction testing. Support user acceptance testing and incorporate stakeholder feedback. Identify edge cases and ensure stable behavior across scenarios
Documentation and Delivery
Document fixes, assumptions, and known limitations. Provide production-readiness validation and handoff documentation. Support stakeholder reviews and final sign-off
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with Power BI in mid to senior-level engineering roles
Proven experience supporting complex dashboards in production environments
Strong experience with Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service
Advanced DAX expertise including CALCULATE, FILTER, and time-intelligence functions
Strong understanding of data modeling best practices such as star schema design and performance tuning
Ability to diagnose and resolve data discrepancies, visual issues, and performance bottlenecks
Experience remediating dashboards created through automated or legacy migrations
Experience performing BI dashboard quality assurance and user acceptance testing
Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
Ability to clearly explain issues, variances, and fixes to technical and business stakeholders
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Clear and professional communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Ability to work independently and own remediation tasks end to end
Strong sense of accountability and quality focus
Preferred
Tableau experience is optional and not required, but helpful for understanding legacy dashboard logic and validating conversion outcomes
Experience with large-scale BI migrations or modernization programs
Familiarity with BI conversion or automation tools
Experience in enterprise or regulated environments such as healthcare, finance, or insurance
Agile or structured delivery experience
