Director of Resource Development & Advocacy
Space Coast Habitat for Humanity is seeking a Director of Resource Development & Advocacy to lead their fundraising and advocacy efforts. The role involves managing donor relationships, planning events, and collaborating with the executive director to secure philanthropic support for the organization's mission.

Responsibilities
Manage and increase donor support and database; ethically procure, acknowledge, and honor the intent of all donations
Create, plan and implement annual events with support from executive director, the BOD resource development committee, volunteers and the affiliate team
Design and carry out planned giving campaigns while referencing Habitat’s recommended guidelines to increase donor support
Build community awareness and relationships through presentations, public speaking engagements, networking events, marketing/social media and media relationships
Collaborate with executive director to build and execute budget
Work close with executive director and grant writer to identify, research, curate, manage and report grants
Serve as the affiliate’s advocacy representative by managing community and government relationships/partnerships to address affordable housing
Learn and communicate the Habitat for Humanity Mission
Qualification
Required

Maintain and foster relationships with donors, organizations and community/state partners while planning and securing philanthropic support for short and long term needs
Must be an ambassador of Habitat's mission and a good steward of our resources
Manage and increase donor support and database; ethically procure, acknowledge, and honor the intent of all donations
Create, plan and implement annual events with support from executive director, the BOD resource development committee, volunteers and the affiliate team
Design and carry out planned giving campaigns while referencing Habitat's recommended guidelines to increase donor support

Microsoft Office, Quick books and donor management software
Know and adhere to ethical fund-raising principles
Experience working and interacting with people at all levels
Ability to work independently or as part of a team
3-5 years minimum with nonprofit or business development
Preferred
Bachelor's degree preferred (nonprofit, marketing, business or related field)
CFRE certification a plus
