FUSE Executive Fellowship | Advancing Community Development through Permanent Supportive Housing Implementation
FUSE is a national nonprofit dedicated to increasing the capacity of local governments to work more effectively for communities. The FUSE Executive Fellow will support the Mayor’s Office in operationalizing the delivery of permanent supportive housing through project management, coordination, and implementation of the Home for Good initiative, ultimately aiming to create 250 PSH units by 2027.
Responsibilities
Support the Mayor’s Office in operationalizing the delivery of PSH through project management, coordination, and implementation of the Home for Good initiative
Strengthen the city’s framework for long-term PSH delivery, financial sustainability, and system integration
Conduct a listening tour involving key stakeholders to identify barriers to PSH implementation and opportunities to strengthen alignment across housing, behavioral health, and social service systems
Review prior planning efforts and assess available local, state, and federal funding sources
Define clear project goals and deliverables in collaboration with the Mayor’s Office
Design and support implementation of an operational framework for PSH delivery, including standardizing service models, clarifying partner roles, and developing a financial sustainability plan
Support improved data tracking, reporting, and regular coordination among funders and providers to strengthen accountability and transparency
Support targeted communications and education efforts to address misconceptions about PSH and highlight its effectiveness
Develop a comprehensive implementation and sustainability plan outlining operational structures, funding strategies, and performance indicators
Qualification
Required
Synthesizes complex information into clear and concise recommendations and action-oriented implementation plans
Develops and effectively implements both strategic and operational project management plans
Generates innovative, data-driven, and result-oriented solutions to complex challenges
Respond quickly to changing ideas, responsibilities, expectations, trends, strategies, and other processes
Communicates effectively verbally and in writing and excels in active listening and conversing
Fosters collaboration across multiple constituencies to support more effective decision-making
Establishes and maintains strong relationships with diverse stakeholders, both inside and outside of government, particularly community-based relationships
