This high-impact role involves guiding a multidisciplinary engineering team and driving innovation in the development of complex combustion and pyroprocessing equipment.

Responsibilities

Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing engineering team across the US and UK
Drive product development, R&D initiatives, and technical excellence across pyroprocessing and combustion product lines
Oversee engineering delivery from concept through to site involvement, ensuring quality, timelines, and commercial performance are met
Implement best-in-class engineering tools, processes, and project management methodologies
Collaborate closely with operations, proposals, services, and project teams to support both new product development and complex engineered-to-order projects
Manage resources effectively across a hybrid, multidisciplinary environment
Travel internationally up to 15%
Lead 15 engineers across the US and UK
Support R&D, product development, combustion and CFD engineering, proposal support, and project execution
Navigate complex matrix engineering challenges and global product responsibilities

Required

Engineering degree with 10+ years of relevant experience
At least 5 years leading engineering teams
Strong background in plant or mechanical engineering
Experience with SAP, Inventor/CAD tools, and engineering data management systems (EDM)
A leadership style rooted in coaching, influence, and cultural improvement
Proven capability managing complex engineering portfolios and balancing technical and commercial priorities
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across global teams

Preferred

Experience of thermoprocessing is not required, but strong people leadership skills and a desire to create positive change is!
