Engineering Supervisor- Quality

They are seeking an Engineering Supervisor for Quality to oversee the quality engineering team, implement quality systems, and lead process improvements while ensuring safety and compliance within the manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities
Supports company safety (EHS) policies and initiatives, supports and drives safety culture. Ensures investigations are properly conducted and corrective actions are carried out as assigned
Assists in the design and implementation of AS9100, ISO 9001, NADCAP and Customer required Quality Systems
Provide daily supervision to the Quality engineering and technical team members
Build and engage team through onboarding, training, setting objectives, monitoring, and coaching on progress
Establish cross-training for all functions/members of the team to ensure department coverage and on-going support
Resolve first level cross functional escalations
Lead as well as support the transfer of new products and capabilities into production and maximize operational readiness leveraging QMS and internal GT processes and procedures
Partner with Engineering and Manufacturing in the design stage in order to build quality into the product design and manufacturing process, including failure mode effects analysis (FMEA) as required
Provide training and coaching to Quality and Operations in quality systems and related areas such as APQP, RCCA, Problem Solving, Statistical Process Control, Gage R&R and DOE
Lead process and product quality improvements, working with Engineering and Operation in the areas of scrap, process capability, warranty, etc
Support and lead Root Cause/ Corrective Action investigations to respond to non-conformances
Support site-wide calibration program
Communicate with customers/suppliers as needed
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline
5+ years in a related Engineering role supporting manufacturing operations
This position requires U.S. Person status as defined by applicable law for authorized access to data controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)
Preferred
Lean Practitioner or Six Sigma Green Belt
2 years of supervision experience
Experience working in a highly regulated industry such as aerospace, automotive, biomedical, etc
Demonstrated results towards process improvement, problem solving methods, DOE, Gauge R&R
Working knowledge of SPC software (e.g Minitab) & analysis methods
Knowledge of ISO 9001/AS9100
Project Management experience/certifications
