Director of Maintenance Planning
Allegiant is a national air carrier, and they are seeking a Director of Maintenance Planning to ensure a safe and airworthy fleet that meets schedule demands. This role involves leading a team, managing budgets, and developing strategies for various maintenance planning functions within the company.

Responsibilities
Lead the strategy and vision to achieve the function’s mission, along with communicating them down through the organization
Facilitate the resolution of issues within the department and across functions by lending expertise and actively directing the process of problem-solving
Oversee the preparation of budgets, monitor monthly activity, and report on results
Provide leadership to Materials Planning, Line Maintenance Planning, Heavy Maintenance Planning, Tool Maintenance Planning, Maintenance Programs, and Maintenance/Financial Analytics
Select managers and mentor them to improve their performance. Assist them in establishing their goals and objectives. Assure the appropriate training, assistance, coordination and time are available to carry out the objectives; re-prioritize as necessary
Interface with the Managing Directors & Directors within Maintenance &Technical Operations, Materials, Stores, and Finance to assure the efficacy of planning decisions
Advise upper management on key issues and keep the Senior Vice President of Maintenance and Engineering informed on progress in each area, particularly as it affects the department’s commitments
Ensure any direct reports understand and apply our Customer Commitment and customer service standards to their daily responsibilities as appropriate
Model Allegiant’s customer service standards in personal actions and when providing leadership direction

Qualification
Required
Combination of Education and Experience will be considered
Must be authorized to work in the US as defined by the Immigration Act of 1986
Must pass a Criminal Background Check
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business or related field
Minimum six (6) years of significant experience in engineering/maintenance with an air carrier or commercial operator
Highly organized with proven multi-tasking ability
Strong work ethic
Excellent problem-solving and structured thinking skills
Ability to work effectively in diverse environments
Strong analytical skills, communication, ability to work under pressure, high initiative and decision-making skills
Ability to interact with the FAA in a professional manner
Ability to manage the department and assigned Team Members

Advanced knowledge and skills of computer applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint software
Strong focus and ability to translate technical requirements within the Functional Requirements

Ability to coordinate program schedule with various implementation partners and key stakeholders
Ability to lead core implementation SMEs in processes for implementation success
Ability to develop and present key milestone and solution presentations with senior leadership
Strong attention to detail required in all aspects of the position
Strong intellect and aptitude desired, along with the ability to manage multiple and varied activities
Good leadership and people management skills, effective communication skills and an ability to prioritize and effectively problem solve
Thorough working knowledge of aviation safety standards and safe operating practices
Solid understanding of the Software Implementation and/or Development processes
Integrity/ethics beyond reproach
Preferred
Master's Degree
Previous leadership roles in operations management and/or planning with experience in analytical modeling, programming, Financial, and/or vendor management
Experience with Maintenance Systems
