Responsibilities
Requires short-term assignments to both CONUS and OCONUS locations for operational support
Candidate will work with a small team to maintain integrated ground segment equipment during laboratory Integration and Test as well as AF flight programs to for operational evaluation and other flight test objectives
Perform system maintenance and upgrades as well as troubleshooting problems
Install and troubleshoot experimental HW/SW, provide feedback to engineering and work with offsite engineering in a collaborative manner
Troubleshooting will include industry standard IT systems as well as program specific hardware, software, and procedures
Work closely with customer representatives to provide status and integrate customer changes
Provide solutions and find ways to make test activities more efficient and effective
Qualification
Required
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience
5+ years' experience as a system administrator or development/support in the Linux, Solaris, Irix or another Unix environment
Experience performing complex troubleshooting and analysis to correct system discrepancies
Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Secret - Current
Preferred
Possess communication skills necessary for problem resolution with military/corporate customers and vendors
Interact with senior external personnel on significant technical matters, often requiring coordination between organizations
Strong teamwork skills – Ability to interact productively with other Raytheon Technologies Field Engineers and customers in a team setting
Work independently to develop timely and effective solutions to technical problems of various scopes and complexity
Work experience with the USAF or other DoD organizations
