Career Collective is seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer (PE) with a strong background in building systems design to join their growing team. In this role, you will lead the design and coordination of mechanical systems for a variety of complex projects including institutional, commercial, healthcare, education, laboratory, and government facilities.

Responsibilities

Perform all aspects of mechanical engineering as it relates to assigned projects

Design mechanical systems including:

HVAC : Split systems, packaged heat pumps, chilled/hot water hydronics, steam/condensate, constant/variable volume air distribution systems

Plumbing : Medical gas systems, hot/cold water, waste and vent systems, compressed air systems

Fire Protection : Prepare performance drawings and specifications for wet and dry pipe systems

Conduct appropriate fieldwork to assess existing conditions and determine design direction, including decisions on system upgrades

Independently manage and design multiple systems for highly complex projects

Lead and implement cross-discipline coordination with project teams

Provide Construction Administration services including site visits, submittal reviews, and responding to RFIs

Perform self-QC on designs and proactively seek peer reviews when needed

Collaborate within a team environment to complete projects from concept through construction with minimal supervision
