Responsibilities
Manage project development projects from initiation through launch, ensuring scope, schedule, and budget objectives are met
Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocation
Monitor progress and implement corrective actions to meet deadlines
Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams to define project requirements and deliverables
Facilitate communication between internal stakeholders and external suppliers
Oversee product lifecycle from concept through production launch
Ensure compliance with design verification and validation processes
Identify project risks, develop mitigation strategies and escalate to Program Manager's attention
Prepare status reports, presentations, and project documentation
Maintain accurate records in project management tools (e.g. MS Project, ERP systems)
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Project Management, or a related field
3-5 years' experience as a Project manager in a technical or engineering environment
Exposure to product development projects involving electrical and/or mechanical components
Strong understanding of product lifecycle management and development processes
Familiarity with mechanical and/or electrical design principles
Proficiency in project management tools (e.g. MS Project, Jira, or equivalent)
Proficiency in project management methodologies (Agile or Waterfall) and tools
Strong organizational, communication (written and verbal), and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively
Preferred
Knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality standards
Familiarity with automotive or industrial product development
Knowledge of quality standards (e.g. ISO, VA, APQP)
Experience working with suppliers and manufacturing partners
Exposure to risk management techniques
