The Lead Test Engineer will develop and direct comprehensive test plans and procedures, ensuring all testing activities meet contractual requirements while managing technical and operational aspects of the systems.

Responsibilities
Synthesizes customer contractual needs and requirements into system test solutions that acknowledges technical, schedule and cost constraints
Develops and directs preparation and execution of comprehensive test plans, procedures and schedules for completing systems
Coordinates integrated testing activities
Reviews and evaluates test requirements to insure completeness of test program
Performs technical analysis of complete systems and prepares comprehensive system level evaluations
Requires candidate to have an Electronics Test CVN 68 Class or CVN 78 Class Lead Test Engineer (LTE) Qualification
Requires the capability to direct, manage and satisfactorily conduct, complete and certify all required complex tactical warfare/combat pier side and at-sea industrial testing; coordinate and clear government work, certifications and certify all delivery requirements are met
Must be able to effectively communicate with both internal and external customers including Waterfront Construction Management, Design Engineering, Test Engineering, SUPSHIP, NAVSEA, SPAWAR, NAVAIR, ISEA and Ship's Force
Good leadership skills and project management experience (test coordination, resource planning, budgeting and test scheduling)
Compilation of lessons learned during ship availability
Understanding of test requirements and ability to provide inputs for the Basis of Estimate (BOE)
Responsible for the correct/accurate and timely scoping of AWP items during the planning evolution
Active participant in Test Planning meetings
Excellent writing skills to write technical reports and perform the final Engineering Reviews of test procedures

Requires candidate to have an Electronics Test CVN 68 Class or CVN 78 Class Lead Test Engineer (LTE) Qualification. CVN68 Class qualification preferred. Candidates with relevant experience can be hired with the understanding that they have to qualify within nine months of their hire date
Requires the capability to direct, manage and satisfactorily conduct, complete and certify all required complex tactical warfare/combat pier side and at-sea industrial testing; coordinate and clear government work, certifications and certify all delivery requirements are met. This skill requires and in-depth technical and operational knowledge for numerous US NAVAL Surface tactical Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Collaboration and Intelligence systems as well as multiple Precision Aircraft Landing Systems. This critical skill also has to develop flight profiles from test requirements using system and ship operational knowledge as well as coordinate the actual aircraft flights underway

Must Have Lead Test Engineer (LTE) or Ship Safety Officer (SSO) or Watch Supervisor or Watch Officer Certification or Trade REC Coordinator (TRC) and Trade REC Oversight Agent (TROA) Certification and 6 years of relevant professional/exempt experience
