First Merchants Corporation is seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst I to join their team. This role focuses on delivering accurate data management and reporting solutions while identifying and implementing process improvements.

Responsibilities

Perform advanced data profiling, modeling, and business logic analysis and architect complex data management solutions to meet business requirements for enterprise-wide data projects and other data tactics

Provide training to BI teammates and other reporting users to maximize understanding and use of reporting technologies

Collaborate with business units to perform requirements analysis and project scoping; perform required business logic transformation

Collaborate with business units to analyze business processes and identify, develop, and assist in the implementation of process improvement opportunities

Support the implementation of data governance principles and standards in data related projects across the organization

Ensure enterprise report delivery works reliably for the business including, but not limited to, reporting systems troubleshooting and supporting report and information delivery

Operate in alignment with reporting development lifecycle strategy and business intelligence governance framework

Ensure documentation of BI processes is consistently maintained according to best practices

Collaborate with data governance analysts and data stewards to ensure data dictionary is appropriately updated to reflect changes resulting from projects and tickets completed including, but not limited to, data flow, business logic and metadata

Collaborate with Data Engineering, Data Architecture, and Enterprise Application Management to support alignment of Business Intelligence and Data Governance processes and objectives

Completion of periodic attestations, controls, and performance procedures as required

Required

Bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems (MIS), business or a related field OR Associate Degree/ two years of college + two (2) years of related work/military experience OR four (4) years of related work/military experience (plus additional required experience detailed below)

A minimum of five (5) years of business intelligence, business analyst, or related experience

A minimum of three (3) years of report writing experience using SQL, Power BI, or similar technology
