Responsibilities
Serve as a visible safety leader, supporting project teams with practical, field-driven EHS guidance
Lead the development, implementation, and enforcement of site-specific EHS plans, policies, and procedures
Conduct project audits, inspections, and evaluations to ensure compliance and program effectiveness
Collaborate with project leadership to identify hazards, mitigate risk, and implement best practices
Lead and support incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective actions with a prevention-focused approach
Deliver effective safety training, orientations, and toolbox talks across a range of topics and environments
Mentor and support EHS Coordinators and junior EHS Managers to promote consistency and professional development
Analyze leading and lagging safety indicators to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement
Apply working knowledge of industrial hygiene principles, including air monitoring, sampling, and data logging
Support the development of standardized best practices, training materials, and policy enhancements
Communicate project conditions, risks, and performance clearly to project teams and corporate EHS leadership
Provide EHS support during construction activities including system checkout, commissioning, and startup as required
Qualification
Required
7–10+ years of progressive EHS experience in industrial, construction, maintenance, mechanical, or electrical environments
OSHA 500 (Authorized Outreach Trainer) certification required
OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification required
Demonstrated leadership experience managing, coaching, and training EHS personnel: 3+ years of experience required
CHST and/or CSP certification required or strongly preferred
Strong working knowledge of applicable safety regulations, compliance standards, and field safety practices
Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record and ability to travel to project sites
Preferred
Leadership development or supervisory training programs
Advanced OSHA coursework related to construction and industrial safety
Training or certification aligned with EM 385-1-1 safety requirements
MSHA-related training or certifications
NFPA 70E training or certification with demonstrated electrical safety knowledge
Additional EHS certifications supporting regulatory compliance and continuous improvement
