Manage and coordinate the permitting process for residential and commercial construction, landscaping, hardscape, and retaining-wall projects
Prepare, submit, track, and follow up on permit applications
Coordinate with village officials, engineers, designers, and internal project managers
Qualification
Required
Experience as a Permit Expeditor, Permit Coordinator, or similar role
Familiarity with municipal permitting processes in Illinois (especially Chicago suburbs)
Ability to read and understand site plans, surveys, and basic construction drawings
Strong communication and follow-up skills
Highly organized and detail-oriented
Comfortable working with engineers, architects, village officials, and contractors
Proficient in email, PDF markups, spreadsheets, and document management
Preferred
Construction, landscaping, hardscape, or civil engineering background
Experience with retaining walls, grading, drainage, fencing, decks, or patios
Knowledge of zoning, engineering review, and inspection workflows
Bilingual (English/Spanish)
