Parnall Law Firm, the largest personal injury law firm in New Mexico, is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join our growing team. The role involves working collaboratively with attorneys to provide advocacy for clients and ensuring effective case management.

Responsibilities

Attend firm-wide huddles and team meetings as scheduled

Draft and file complaints within 30 days of a case transfer

Ensure service of process is completed within designated timeframes

Schedule and track case milestones, including scheduling hearings, mediations, and depositions

Provide telephonic client updates every six weeks, with no more than 10 outstanding updates at any given time

Maintain accurate and timely case documentation in SmartAdvocate

Draft and serve subpoenas, discovery requests, and responses

Assist attorneys with trial preparation, including scheduling witness statements, compiling exhibits, and creating necessary legal binders

Perform background checks on defendants and clients as part of case preparation

Work collaboratively with attorneys, case managers, and legal assistants to move cases toward resolution

Required

Minimum 3 years of personal injury litigation paralegal experience required

Ability to travel in the event a case goes to trial is required

Available Monday-Friday 8:00-5:00 Mountain time

Strong understanding of state, local, and federal court rules

Experience with e-filing and legal documentation

Ability to be available to work during business hours Mountain time zone (Monday-Thursday 8:00-5:00 and Friday 8:00-4:00)
