This role focuses on executing trades in tax-exempt municipal bonds while collaborating with Financial Advisors and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities
Execute tax-exempt municipal bond trades (syndicate and secondary) with a focus on best execution and cost efficiency
Evaluate market conditions, assess risks, and ensure optimal pricing
Manage inventory risk within assigned limits, maintain the department’s database, and adhere to compliance protocols
Develop and distribute actionable insights on market conditions, including portfolio ladders, swap opportunities, and new-money strategies
Communicate ideas creatively and proactively to FAs while fostering relationships through exceptional service
Partner with trading desks, cross-functional teams, and departments (e.g., Business Development, Fixed Income Strategies) to align messaging and identify opportunities
Support team members through backup coverage and contribute to special projects
Stay current on regulatory changes, maintain accurate trade records, and ensure adherence to policies and standards
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Mathematics, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Demonstrated understanding of fixed income markets, economics, and investment strategies
Proficiency in Bloomberg, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and trading software
Series 7 and 63 licenses (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks under pressure, and meet deadlines
Strong analytical, marketing, and interpersonal skills
Preferred
Prior experience in fixed income trading or related processes
Familiarity with the Tradeweb platform
