Responsibilities
Conduct property condition assessments (PCAs)
Provide estimations of probable costs
Peer review building designs
Perform energy audits, system commissioning, forensic evaluations, construction management and design and evaluations of HVAC, electrical, plumbing and fire protection systems
Interact with site personnel and clients in both technical and non-technical terms
Engage in a diverse array of projects offering unique challenges and opportunities to make a tangible impact
Travel to project sites is required
Qualification
Required
Licensed (PE) Mechanical Engineer at a Senior Associate level
BSME, BSEE or BSAE w/mechanical specialty preferred
15 or more years of experience in the engineering design and evaluation of building mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection systems
Demonstrated leadership and project management successes
HVAC and plumbing system expertise
Fundamental knowledge of electrical and fire protection systems
Working knowledge of national and state building codes
Experience in facilities engineering, energy audits, WUFI analysis, commissioning and sustainability consulting
Ability to assess MEP systems, report on issues found, and problem-solve on behalf of clients
Ability to integrate interest in Sustainability with practical legal requirements
Ability to market services to existing and new clients
The ability to communicate in a professional manner, remain organized, and multitask
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Bluebeam, PlanGrid and Box
Eager to collaborate across disciplines and committed to lifelong learning in MEP engineering
Preferred
LEED or CEM certificates are a plus
