Responsibilities
Diagnose mechanical, electrical/electronic, hydraulic and combustion malfunctions and operating difficulties
Determines repair procedures and implements those repairs that will be effective in preventing reoccurrence
Can navigate and interpret ladder logic in SLC 500, PLC 5, and Control Logix software for the purpose of troubleshooting equipment faults
Can modify positions and diagnose problems on ABB robots. Models M94, M98, M2000, M2600, and M6700
Installs, moves, and aligns new and existing equipment
Sets up and operates various types of machine shop equipment with a moderate degree of accuracy and efficiency
Performs both gas and electric welding operations
Completes related machine repair records, performs associated handling duties, and maintains work area in a neat and orderly condition
Performs all necessary preventive and proactive tasks on plant equipment
Performs other related duties as assigned by supervision and/or designated team leader
Qualification
Required
Perform a wide variety of mechanical and electrical maintenance work of a skilled and complex nature
Installs, repairs, and maintains manufacturing equipment and plant facilities necessary for satisfactory operation of equipment and processes
Diagnose mechanical, electrical/electronic, hydraulic and combustion malfunctions and operating difficulties
Determines repair procedures and implements those repairs that will be effective in preventing reoccurrence

4 years of related experience in Allen Bradley, Hydraulics, Robotics, and Welding
Maintenance Technician “A” level must be proficient at troubleshooting die casting machine cells through the use of PLC's and electrical and hydraulic schematics
Must be able to apply principles acquired through technical or vocational subjects (certificates or some college courses)
