Accounting/Fiscal Analyst - 60026091
The State of South Carolina's SC Commission for the Blind is dedicated to providing quality vocational rehabilitation services to individuals with visual impairments. They are seeking an Accounting/Fiscal Analyst to manage accounts payable and receivable transactions, verify financial documentation, and ensure timely payments within the finance department.

Responsibilities
Processes accounts payable transactions, ensuring proper documentation is attached and appropriate funding stream has been assigned
Respond to vendor inquiries about invoice payments and manage the Accounting Inbox efficiently
Resolve any discrepancies in accounts payable transactions, including those rejected by the Comptroller General's Office
Perform account reconciliations to verify all payments have been issued accurately
Serve as a backup to the Accounts Payable Lead for handling error files, report processing, and purchase order processing
Assist with account analyses, year-end closing packages, aging payables, aging receivables, and other necessary reports
Perform other duties as required to support the finance department
Qualification
Required
A high school diploma and professional experience in a related area such as accounting, auditing, finance, or banking
A bachelor's degree with multiple accounting courses may be substituted for the required work experience
Preferred
Knowledge of the principles, practices, theories and terminology of accounting, budgeting or financial management
Knowledge of state governmental fiscal accounting processes
Knowledge of SCEIS financial system
Knowledge of state and federal regulations and laws applicable to SC Commission for the Blind
Ability to analyze and interpret complex financial data and reports
SCEIS Financial experience
