This role is responsible for building and scaling a presence in the North American data center ecosystem, engaging various stakeholders early in the project lifecycle to drive specification inclusion and influence design decisions.

Responsibilities

Own and execute the go-to-market strategy for the data center vertical across North America
Establish and deepen relationships with data center owners, developers, GCs, AE firms, and mission-critical contractors to influence projects early in the design lifecycle
Drive specification inclusion across multiple product divisions by identifying opportunities within plans, drawings, and design documents
Serve as the central connector across sales, engineering, estimating, and product teams to align pursuit strategy and execution
Build a visible industry presence through conferences, partnerships, and thought leadership within the mission-critical construction ecosystem
Populate and manage a high-value CRM pipeline specific to data center opportunities, ensuring transparency and momentum
Act as the voice of the customer, feeding market intelligence back into product, engineering, and leadership teams

Required

7+ years of experience in data centers, mission-critical construction, or adjacent capital-project environments, with end-to-end understanding of facility design and delivery
Proven ability to build or scale a market, vertical, or growth initiative involving multi-product portfolios through influence rather than authority
Established relationships with data center owners, developers, AE firms, EPCs, and mission-critical contractors, with early-stage project influence
Strong command of specification-driven selling, long-cycle sales processes, and complex buying environments
Technical fluency in drawings, specifications, and construction sequencing, with the ability to translate scope into commercial opportunity
Strong commercial and financial acumen, including pricing, margin, and profitability considerations
Highly autonomous and execution-oriented, with urgency, follow-through, and comfort operating in ambiguity
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with executive presence in design-led environments
Willingness to travel extensively (approximately 70%)

Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred, or equivalent professional experience
