Responsibilities

Lead and direct all Regional operations toward achieving the overall strategic objectives by growing the Whataburger system and brand through leading and inspiring others

Possess a competitive drive and the ability to stay focused on results despite emerging challenges

Handle a variety of activities with self-assurance and the confidence to drive toward results while constantly problem-solving and engaging the commitment of others

Utilize systems that achieve results through and with people, rather than on the details of implementation

Own the culture in their Region and create moments that make Family Members and guests smile by celebrating important life milestones

Required

Bachelor's degree or any equivalent combination of educational and progressive work experience is required

10+ years' experience supervising others at various organizational levels, preferably at a Regional or higher level

Multi-unit management experience in the restaurant or hospitality industry required

Ability to plan and set priorities to achieve business objectives

Outstanding accountability and focus skills

Demonstrated advanced level of ability to communicate, influence, and negotiate outcomes while motivating others

Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment

Demonstrated ability to direct, observe and coach

Demonstrated advanced ability to implement strategic direction

Highly developed interpersonal and relationship building skills, with demonstrated ability to promote a team environment and work effectively with all levels of employees

Successful P&L track record and a proven legacy of developing people

Strong time management and organizational skills

Strong general knowledge of working practices

Proven ability to prepare and present ideas and recommendations to colleagues, managers and direct reports with ample notice and preparation

Proficiency in MS Office Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point (as applicable)

Advanced professional or theoretical knowledge and functional concepts, practices, and procedures of a particular field of specialization in the execution of assigned duties and responsibilities

Advanced understanding of budgetary concepts and procedures

Advanced understanding of portfolio management: input to output, decision making process, logical sequence of activities, interdependencies between activities/tasks, deliverable prioritization, and timeline

Expected to work the necessary time to satisfactorily fulfill job responsibilities

Must be able to report to work timely and as required by operational/business needs

Must be able to work a full-time schedule

Must be able to travel both locally and long distances (including air travel), to worksites, meetings

Must possess a valid driver's license, submit to releasing a Motor Vehicle Record that adheres to the Whataburger standards and maintain current automobile liability at minimum levels in their state of residence
