Aerospace CMM Quality Assurance Inspector
Reliance Gear Corporation is seeking an Aerospace CMM Quality Assurance Inspector to ensure flight-critical metal components meet industry standards. The role involves rigorous inspections, precise measurements, and maintaining quality processes within aerospace and metal manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities
Kick off with first piece checks, confirming setups and dimensions before production ramps
Move through in-process and final inspections, catching issues early and validating finished parts
Program and run manual and CNC CMMs, using PC-DMIS or MODUS when applicable on Hexagon systems
Conduct Magnetic Particle Inspection and verify NDT compliance for safety-critical features
Assess incoming supplier components, rejecting non-conforming material and documenting findings
Apply micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and dial indicators to validate tight tolerances
Interpret blueprints and customer specifications, including GD&T, to drive correct outcomes
Maintain calibration systems and support internal audits to sustain certification readiness
Contribute to PPAP and ISIR activities and execute process capability studies
Coach production teams on best practices and help elevate the quality system through documentation and continuous improvement
Qualification
Required
2–4 years in manufacturing quality or inspection roles
Hands-on CMM inspection and programming proficiency; PC-DMIS or MODUS preferred
Comfort with basic math and geometry
Computer skills across MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
Quality inspection and quality control
Data analysis, manipulation, and quality control data analysis
Tolerance and field measurement expertise
GD&T fluency
ITAR awareness and compliance
PPAP process experience

Experience with Micro-Vu is a plus
Background in aerospace and or metal manufacturing preferred
Experience with bevel gear manufacturing is a plus
