Facility Assistant

Responsibilities

Respond to work requests submitted by employees
Utilize CMMS program to schedule, dispatch, track, and report repairs and preventative maintenance activities
Assist with routine maintenance tasks, such as light repairs, plumbing, electrical work, HVAC filter replacement, wall patching, painting, and general upkeep of the facility
Help with the setup and breakdown of events or meetings held within the facility. This could include arranging chairs, tables, and audiovisual equipment
Provide excellent service to employees and visitors by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and directing them to the appropriate resources or personnel
Support facility-related projects, such as renovations, office relocations, or equipment installations
Keep the outside grounds maintained. May include mowing, trimming, sprinkler system maintenance, and mulching
Schedule activities to avoid disruption of services to internal and external customers
Other duties as assigned

Required

High school diploma and 1-2 years related work experience
Knowledge of safe work practices around office building mechanical systems
Experience with facilities maintenance, plumbing and HVAC
Previous work experience as a handyman or in a skilled trade
Is proactive, has good organizational skills, and is reliable
Self-motivated team player
Works independently

Preferred

Strong computer skills. Knowledge of key card and EMS system software
Knowledge of plumbing and hot water systems
Experience and understanding of HVAC/boiler/chiller systems
Experience and understanding of lighting and electrical systems
Good written and verbal communication skills
