The role involves performing various virology assays, maintaining viral stocks, conducting animal research studies, and managing laboratory supplies and documentation.

Responsibilities
Performing benchtop virology assays (including western blots, flow cytometry, multiplex assays, tissue culture, PCR)
Maintaining viral stocks (propagation, tittering, storage of numerous strains)
Animal research studies (including mouse maintenance, infecting mice, sample collection, etc.)
Ordering supplies and maintaining laboratory receipts and safety paperwork
Teamwork and coordination with other lab members
Maintenance of accurate and timely records of experimental procedures and results
Maintenance of supply inventories for the laboratory
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree
One year of related experience
Strong organizational skills
Familiarity with the principles of biology (preferably virology)
Proficient in research experiment skills and techniques
Proficient laboratory record-keeping and maintenance skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software applications
Willingness to work in solo and team environments and multitask during the workday
Preferred
Master's Degree in a Biological or Chemical Science
Experience in rodent handling and tissue processing
Experience in laboratory techniques such as molecular biology, cloning, cell culture, ELISA and flow cytometry
Experience in aseptic techniques and culture and maintenance of microbial stocks
Experience in statistical analysis and/or big data management
