Responsibilities
Modernize Standards: Redesign and maintain enterprise engineering process standards spanning the full program lifecycle, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and enterprise strategies
AI Integration: Embed AI capabilities, assistants, and digital tools into workflows to enhance decision-making, productivity, and quality
Tailored Implementation: Collaborate with discipline-specific leads to ensure processes are tailored, adopted, and compliant across all areas of the organization
Continuous Improvement: Create and manage a continuous improvement program with metrics to measure adoption, effectiveness, and impact
Governance & Certification: Lead the organization in achieving and maintaining Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) certification. This includes conducting gap analyses, overseeing process documentation, delivering training, and coordinating formal appraisals to ensure compliance with CMMI standards
Governance & Alignment: Serve as the central point of contact for process inquiries, governance, and improvement initiatives. Partner across engineering, IT, and digital transformation teams to align processes with digital thread and AI strategies
Qualification
Required
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, Technology or Mathematics field
Also requires 10+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 8 years of job-related experience
Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required
15+ years in engineering, digital transformation, or program execution, with proven expertise in modernizing enterprise processes at scale
Direct experience leading or supporting the Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) certification process, including conducting gap analyses, developing process documentation, delivering training, and coordinating formal appraisals
Experience integrating AI capabilities, including assistants, agents, automation, and digital thread technologies, into engineering workflows
Deep expertise in engineering lifecycle processes, from capture and design to production and sustainment
Demonstrated ability to define and implement performance metrics that improve efficiency, quality, and risk management
Preferred
Agile experience preferred
Existing experience with the company's common process framework is highly desired
Proven success operationalizing AI and digital tools beyond pilot phases, ensuring scalable, practical adoption
A background in both engineering and program execution environments, with a deep understanding of engineering lifecycles
Familiarity with enterprise standardization initiatives and engineering tool ecosystems
Strong systems thinking, collaboration, and change management skills to inspire and influence teams across the organization
