Finance and Operations Manager

Responsibilities

Support day-to-day financial operations, including bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable tracking, invoice processing, and expense reconciliation
Coordinate with external accountants, auditors, fiscal agents, and payroll providers to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance
Maintain organized financial records for grants, contracts, and organizational operations
Assist with budget preparation, cash flow tracking, and financial reporting for leadership and the Board of Directors
Support fiscal agent and fiscal sponsorship responsibilities with partner organizations and community stakeholders
Oversee daily office operations, including scheduling, supply management, document control, and administrative systems
Develop, document, and maintain internal processes and procedures to ensure consistency, accountability, and operational efficiency
Create and maintain process maps for internal practices such as digital file storage, CRM usage, vendor management, and internal approvals
Serve as a central administrative resource for staff, supporting onboarding, offboarding, and internal coordination
Ensure compliance with organizational policies, contracts, and internal controls
Maintain a master list of BBC programs, projects, grants, and contracts, including deadlines and reporting requirements
Support the preparation of documentation for funders, auditors, and regulatory entities
Support the maintenance of a positive, professional, and progressive corporate image
Prepare presentations, reports, and marketing or informational materials for internal and external audiences
Assist with the implementation of marketing and communications plans
Attend community meetings, networking events, and stakeholder engagements to support relationship-building and organizational visibility
Serve as a primary point contact for community partners, vendors, and external stakeholders as appropriate

Required

Strong Analytical Skills to interpret financial data and create accurate reports
Proficiency in Communication and Customer Service, ensuring effective interactions with team members and stakeholders
Experience in Operations Management to oversee and optimize organizational processes
Skilled in Administrative Assistance to coordinate schedules, manage documentation, and assist with organizational tasks
Proficiency in spreadsheet software and familiarity with financial management tools
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field

Preferred

Previous experience in nonprofit operations or finance
