Responsibilities

Author FEL1 Capital Project scope & justifications
Execute small capital projects, including field construction supervision
Manage site variable cost/usage and develop action plants to improve
Lead control loop improvement efforts
Maintain accurate BFDs, PFDs, and P&IDs
Plan, coordinate, execute, and document Maximum Daily Capacity (MDC) tests
Monitor current forecast future differential pressures, heat exchanger u-values, catalyst reactivity, and acid mist removal
Use SUMO Compliance Tool to analyze process and drive improvements
Manage site production KPIs including On Stream Time (OST), Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), and Turbo Generator Efficiency (TGE). Enter data daily, run and distribute reports weekly
Support Management Team initiatives and serve as change agent on site
Support Equipment Strategy and Equipment Best Practice compliance
Support the Ecovyst 20P principles with a focus on Asset Integrity, Operating Boundaries and Management of Change and other activities to ensure equipment is maintained and operated safely
Abide by the Company, plant, and lab policies/procedures and safety rules
Lead, support, promote, improve, and enforce compliance, all HS&E, corporate/plant policies, procedures, performance standards and ISO/RC 1400
Activity participates in HSE and Process Safety activities and initiatives (Employee Participation Program)

Required

Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum of 3-5 years' experience working in chemical/refining industry, preferably with prior line management experience
Familiarity with industry standards & practices (OSHA, EPA, API, ASME, NFPA)
Familiarity with PSM/RMP regulations
Ability to comprehend equipment, P&ID, loop, and drawings
Ability to perform basic fluid flow, heat transfer, mass transfer calculations
Understanding of chemistry
Basic ERT awareness (ICS, Fire Extinguisher Training, First Aid + CPR, HAZWOPER)
Works well under pressure – ability to meet tight deadlines with quality results
Strong communication/inter-personal skills
Must be well versed in MS PowerPoint, Word, Excel, & Outlook. SAP experience a plus
Required to have Transportation Worker Identification Credentials (TWIC)
