Responsibilities

Industrial PCN operations & design

Support and enhance PCN networks at Level 3–3.5, including wired/wireless LAN design, IP addressing, topology adherence, and standards alignment for new and existing facilities

Coordinate lifecycle (EoS/EoL) planning, MACD, and software upgrades with local teams; create proposals for deviations and maintain site contacts in ServiceNow

Follow standard change management cadence for DMZ/PCN changes with proper local approvals and scheduling

Engineer robust L2/L3 switching solutions (VLANs, VRFs) and implement identity‑based micro‑segmentation using Cisco TrustSec and NAC (ISE); leverage Catalyst Center (DNA Center) for config management and zero‑touch deployment where applicable

Plan and execute ISSU (In‑Service Software Upgrade) on supported Cisco Catalyst 9K platforms (e.g., C9400/C9500/C9600), ensuring prerequisites like SVL/dual supervisors with SSO and Install‑mode upgrades are met

Use SolarWinds for configuration backups, compliance checks, and remediation orchestration; align with NCM controls and ensure inventory accuracy across production/test environments

Triage and resolve alerts (CPU/memory/disk/node status) and drive incident/problem/change workflows in coordination with Command Center and Operations

Contribute to CMDB quality efforts, validating model IDs, support groups, and device statuses per established processes

Apply the industrial networking strategy (segmentation, multi‑zone Wi‑Fi, SD‑WAN as the main WAN for IIoT/PCN, E‑IDN/L‑IDN constructs) and help advance “PCN to the Cloud” patterns under enterprise guidance

Understand asset mapping aligned to the Purdue model and contribute to visualization and operationalization of OT growth domains

Required

7–10 years of enterprise networking experience with strong L2/L3 switching; 3–5 years in Industrial/OT (PCN) environments preferred

Deep skills in Cisco switching (Catalyst 9K) including VLANs/VRFs, EtherChannel, STP/MST, HSRP/VRRP, OSPF/EIGRP/BGP; hands‑on with Catalyst Center (DNA Center) and ISE for NAC and policy

Demonstrated ISSU upgrade planning/execution on supported Catalyst platforms and IOS‑XE versions; familiarity with SVL/SSO and redundancy prerequisites

Proficiency with SolarWinds (NPM/NCM) for monitoring, config backup, compliance, and inventory validation; comfort with ServiceNow processes (incident/problem/change)

Working knowledge of OT/ICS concepts (zones/levels, Purdue model), and safe practices for production environments

Preferred

Exposure to SD‑WAN in industrial contexts and edge micro‑segmentation using TrustSec/CyberVision

Experience integrating PCN with cloud‑published services under enterprise identity and SSO patterns (x509/Azure AD)

Familiarity with ICS/SCADA protocols (e.g., Modbus/TCP, Profinet, DNP3) and OT data pipelines (e.g., PI)
