The NG9-1-1 Project Office Coordinator will support the delivery of Next Generation 9-1-1 initiatives by providing project coordination, administrative oversight, and cross-team support within a Project Management Office environment.

Responsibilities

Coordinate day-to-day administrative activities for NG9-1-1 projects within the PMO
Support project managers with schedules, action items, status tracking, and deliverables
Maintain project documentation including charters, schedules, risk logs, and change requests
Assist with onboarding new projects into the PMO framework
Schedule and coordinate project meetings, workshops, and stakeholder sessions
Prepare agendas, meeting minutes, and follow-up action items
Serve as a liaison between project managers, technical teams, GIS staff, PSAPs, and vendors
Support communication with state, regional, and local NG9-1-1 stakeholders
Compile weekly and monthly project status reports
Track milestones, dependencies, risks, and issues
Support compliance with NG9-1-1 governance, funding, and reporting requirements
Maintain centralized project repositories (SharePoint, Teams, or similar platforms)

Required

2+ years of experience in a project coordination, PMO support, or administrative role
Strong organizational, documentation, and communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and collaboration tools
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a structured, deadline-driven environment

Preferred

Experience supporting NG9-1-1, public safety, GIS, telecom, or IT infrastructure projects
Familiarity with PMO processes and project management methodologies
Experience working with government agencies, PSAPs, or public-sector stakeholders
Knowledge of NG9-1-1 concepts such as ESInet, GIS data readiness, call handling, or transition planning
