Responsibilities

Perform geotechnical analyses and provide recommendations for the design of foundations, slope stability, retaining walls, and other geotechnical elements in roadway projects

Develop detailed engineering drawings using tools such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, and OpenRoads

Participate in site reconnaissance and field visits as required

Prepare comprehensive geotechnical reports, including results, interpretations, and recommendations based on field data and laboratory testing

Execute geotechnical calculations and modeling using specialized software

Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to integrate geotechnical considerations into the overall project design

Required

Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field

Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and teamwork skills

Preferred

Previous experience with FDOT or TxDOT projects
