InternCitizens Energy Group is offering an exciting opportunity for a Thermal Engineering Intern to join their team. The successful candidate will assist Engineering staff in various tasks including data analysis, design, and technical support for operations and maintenance in the Thermal business.

Responsibilities
Develops familiarity by reading, understanding and applying departmental design guides, standards, systems, engineering codes, and Citizens policies and procedures
Develops an understanding and complies with the Citizens Quality Program. Supports continuous improvement and change management efforts
Contributes to preparation of less complex engineering deliverables such as drawings, reports, specifications, and studies of limited scope
Performs routine research and develops recommendations for equipment and/or materials selection
Collects, assimilates, and manages data for engineering work
Prepares basic engineering calculations following standard methods and principles
Shares information with others as requested. Coordinates with others when directed by supervisor or project leadership
Focuses on the needs of internal clients (project team leadership) while attempting to gain basic understanding of external client's main interests and drivers
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Active attendance at a college or university with emphasis in engineering, science, environmental studies, construction management, or related field
A current Grade Point Average of 2.75 or higher
Ability to work both remotely and in-person at Thermal plants and/or distribution work sites
Preferred
Valid State of Indiana, Bureau of Motor Vehicles Operator's License
Experience preferred in use of Microsoft Office applications
Ability to communicate and interact effectively and successfully with project managers, staff engineers, and other team members
Ability to manage project aspects assigned technically and financially while handling multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously
Completed at least Sophomore year level of studies
