Responsibilities

Assist in the service, troubleshooting, repair and overhaul of engines, propulsion systems and their electronic systems on marine defense vessels

Perform all duties in a safe, respectful and organized manner, adhering to all safety guidelines

Analyze technical data, asses and plan scope of work to ensure deadlines are met

Plan, prepare and request all parts and tools to perform job functions

Maintain a clean and safe work area

Write thorough, detailed reports at job completion and maintain detailed records of daily activities

Maintain mtu engine, vessel and equipment logs

Commission and operate engines and propulsion systems

Provide instruction assistance and demonstrate maintenance, safe operation and shutdown of mtu equipment to customer

Instrument propulsion systems and record test data

Inspect parts to assure conformance to specification

Work with product groups on product design development and quality improvements

Provide input for updates of service manuals and bulletins

Provide technical assistance to other service personnel and remain technically current

Promote a compliance culture in area of responsibility and live the letter and the spirit of the Rolls Royce Code of Conduct

Perform special projects as needed

US Citizenship is required to work on government contract

Two years in a mechanical trade school or Associate's Degree in Engineering Science or Mechanical Technology; or two years of field service, mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience

Ability to travel on short notice, domestic and international (70-100%)

Ability to lift, push, pull weights in the 20-60 lbs range
