Administrative Assistant I - Nutritional Science

Responsibilities

Answers phone and greets visitors; responds to inquiries and provides information using established guidelines or refer to appropriate individual
Types correspondence and forms; scans and faxes documents, makes copies, maintains files (electronic and hard)
Receives, sorts and distributes mail
Schedules routine appointments, maintains office/department calendars and makes routine travel arrangements. Prepares travel expense reimbursement according to guidelines
Performs basic data entry such as invoices and purchase orders; track purchases/receipts and process for payment. Enters personnel/payroll information in HR system
Monitors, maintains and stocks office, toner, paper and miscellaneous supplies as needed
Maintains/updates contact information, directories, departmental lists, email lists, databases and website
Compiles applications; provides applicant information to faculty; sends correspondence to applicants; answers general questions on program/course
Performs other duties as assigned
