Responsibilities
Assemble electronic components, wiring, and hardware into sub-assemblies and final products in accordance with engineering drawings, schematics, and written instructions
Perform soldering, wiring, crimping, and mechanical assembly tasks using appropriate tools and equipment
Inspect work for accuracy, quality, and compliance with IPC/J-STD and company standards
Identify and report nonconformances or defects to supervision and assist in corrective actions
Maintain accurate production and inspection records as required
Follow established ESD, FOD, and safety protocols in all assembly operations
Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, efficiency, and throughput
Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to resolve technical issues
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in electronics assembly preferred
2+ years of experience in electronics or electro-mechanical assembly, preferably in a defense or aerospace environment
Working knowledge of IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, or equivalent soldering/assembly standards (certification a plus)
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and written work instructions
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance if required
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
Manual dexterity to work with small components and hand tools
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs as needed
