Computer Software Engineering Intern - Orlando, FL - Summer 2026 - ATAS

The Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI) is a nonprofit, applied research division of the Georgia Institute of Technology. Responsibilities

Designing software functions and classes
Debugging software (IDE Debugging & Network Debugging)
Documenting code changes, bugs, and user guidance for execution
Testing software applications against expected behaviors
Reviewing software code changes against coding standards and functionality expectations

Required

Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related Engineering Field
Must have a 3.2 or higher GPA
Full-Time Intern- Must be registered for Full-time Internship Credit
Commit to 40 hours of work per week in the Orlando Field Office (Orlando, FL)
Experience in 1 programming language
Able to work in-office in Orlando, FL from May
Due to our research contracts with the US federal government, candidates for this position are required to be US Citizens
Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain an active security clearance

Preferred

Experience in 2 or more programming/scripting languages
Clear communicator, written and oral
Strong math skills and ability to learn complex engineering concepts
Experience in hardware, software, or firmware development methodologies and structured approaches to system development
Works well individually and in a group setting
