Responsibilities
Install, program, and commission fire alarm control panels and field devices
Pull, terminate, label, and test system wiring in compliance with NFPA and NEC standards
Troubleshoot system issues, perform repairs, and upgrades
Conduct acceptance testing and coordinate with AHJs, general contractors, and end users
Maintain accurate documentation, redlines, and as-built drawings
Install and configure door hardware, card readers, mag locks, strikes, and REX devices
Program access levels, schedules, and user databases
Install and configure IP and analog cameras, NVRs, and PoE switches
Troubleshoot intrusion detection systems, sensors, and communication modules
Qualification
Required
Hands-on experience installing, programming, testing, and servicing fire alarm systems with minimal supervision
Strong fire alarm programming experience across major platforms
Ability to quickly diagnose system faults, wiring issues, and device failures
Solid understanding of NFPA 72, NEC, and applicable local codes
Proficient in mounting, wiring, terminating, and device placement
Detail-oriented with a clean, organized workmanship style
Safety-conscious and compliant with OSHA standards
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Dependable, accountable, and able to work independently
Strong problem-solving abilities with a calm, solutions-driven approach
Team player with a willingness to share knowledge and assist others
Adaptable and motivated to learn new systems and technologies
Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Ability to pass background and drug screening if required
Preferred
Experience with access control, security systems, and CCTV
2–5+ years of fire alarm installation and programming experience
Experience with access control, intrusion detection, or CCTV systems
NICET certification and/or manufacturer training
